A/R CDM & REDD
We make a A/R CDM & REDD project model in developing countries at a base on this conceptual framework, educate highly qualified people for CDM & REDD project.
What is A/R CDM & REDD ?
A/R CDM
The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) of the Kyoto Protocol allows industrialized member countries to meet a part of their greenhouse gas reduction obligations through offset projects in developing countries. The CDM is a market based mechanism, driven by demand for credits certified emission reductions from private or public entities in developed countries, and by supply from offset projects in host countries. CDM projects which reduce emissions from sources can be carried out in many sectors, particularly energy, including wood energy. However, only afforestation and reforestation qualify as A/R CDM projects which remove carbon from the atmosphere. Carbon sequestration in agricultural crops and soils is not eligible under the CDM in the first commitment period 2008-2012. Special small-scale A/R CDM projects with simplified rules meet the needs of low-income communities and individuals.
REDD
Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD). An initiative to cut greenhouse gas emissions associated with forest clearing by the inclusion of avoided deforestation in carbon market mechanisms. More simply, payment in return for the active preservation of existing forests.

We strive to be the Designated Operational Entity(DOE) for A/R CDM & REDD project in Korea.
